The Chair of the Institute, John Hendy QC, will address SERTUC’s International Conference.

This event brings together trade unionists and their friends in London, the South East and East of England to discuss issues of international development, politics and trade union solidarity.

This FREE event includes workshops on a wide range of issues including:

· trade unions under attack in Colombia, Iran and Iraq
· the control of water
· the future for a ‘Social Europe’
· the rise of the far right
· developments in Latin America
· solidarity work in Southern Africa
· Palestine
· fighting exploitation through international supply chains

Speakers from trade unions and NGOs include Frances O’Grady (TUC), John Monks (ETUC), John Hendy QC, Nestor Lopez (Venezuelan Embassy), Jamshid Ahmadi (Iran), Ana Lucia Pinzon (Colombia), Charles Abani (Southern Africa Oxfam) and a host of others.
