How can they best defend the pay, pensions and jobs of their members? Two trade union general secretaries will meet to discuss their thoughts on trade unions in a time of austerity. Some union leaders speak of civil disobedience. Others have raised the prospect of prison for breaking anti-trade union laws. Many have participated in coordinated strike action in defence of pensions. What is on the mind and in the game-plan of Mark Serwotka and Christine Blower? This event is the third in a series of annual collaborations between the Institute of Employment Rights and The Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers.
