Fringe meeting
At the TUC in Manchester, IER held its traditional Monday evening fringe meeting in association with the United Campaign to Repeal the Anti Trade Union Laws. Despite clashing with the Labour Leadership Hustings, the excellent platform of speakers (Keith Ewing, John Hendy, John McDonnell, Bob Crow and Jeremy Dear)attracted a loyal and supportive audience.
*Best Stall Runner up”
For the first time in 20 years, the Institute received the runner up prize in the TUC’s Best Stall Competition. First prize went to PCS. Thanks goes to the FBU for sponsoring IER’s exhibition space at TUC.
